Super Intelligence (SI)

Memory for Super Intelligence (SI)

Super Intelligence (SI) is the phrase now moving through government, procurement, and headlines in place of artificial intelligence. On September 29, 2026, an executive order told federal agencies to say Super Intelligence and SI instead of AI, and to stop acknowledging the older terms in official communications.

The order is a naming policy. It defines SI as the technologies already covered by the statutory meaning of artificial intelligence. It does not describe a new machine, and it does not change what those systems fail on.

Same systems

SI is the new name for AI

Searches for SI, Super Intelligence, and superintelligence are looking for the same category buyers already call AI: models, agents, and the pilots wrapped around them. Federal documents will use the new words. Everyone else will use both for a while.

Capability claims travel with the name. The record those systems reason over does not. Facts are still scattered, stripped of when they were true, and frozen on the last version. A model labeled Super Intelligence fills the gaps the same way a model labeled AI does, and it sounds just as sure.

The part that does not rename

What an SI system still has to remember

Pod-OS is memory for that record. Each fact keeps where it came from, what it connects to, and what it replaced. Joins, aggregation, and conflict detection run in the store. The model receives a projection sized to the decision, not a pile of fragments.

That is the infrastructure Super Intelligence projects need when an answer has to be audited: source, time, and the fact that was true before this one. PointOfData.ai builds it as Evolutionary Neural Memory for the record and the Actor Infrastructure Platform for the systems that read and write it.

Super Intelligence (SI), in short

What does SI stand for?

In current federal usage, SI stands for Super Intelligence. A September 29, 2026 executive order tells agencies to use Super Intelligence and SI in place of artificial intelligence and AI. The order defines those terms as the systems already covered by the statutory definition of artificial intelligence.

Is Super Intelligence different from AI?

Not under that order. Super Intelligence (SI) means the technologies and systems encompassed by “artificial intelligence” in 15 U.S.C. § 9401(3), unless a later statute or presidential action changes the definition. The label is new. The systems are the ones already in production and in pilot.

What does Super Intelligence need from its data?

A record with provenance, connections, and history. Pod-OS keeps those on each fact so an SI system can answer from what was true, name where it came from, and show what that fact replaced.

The name can change. The memory cannot be optional.
